Announcing Fall, 2011, WSUM Sports Lineup!

WSUM is pleased to announce its fall, 2011, sports talk show lineup. The station will feature eight outstanding shows. this semester, however, features a few changes to the schedule. Perhaps most notably, WSUM's longest-running show, The Student Section, moves from Tuesdays to Mondays. Additionally, Cheddar Chatter moves to Tuesdays, Full Court Press to Sundays, and Red Alert to Wednesdays. Finally, Debate and Tackle, WSUM Sports' newest show, will debut on Tuesdays.

Mondays, 4-6 PM: Student Section
Kyle Deckelbaum, Mike Fiammetta, Sam Maxwell, Nathan Palm
The longest-running show on the station, The Student Section is WSUM’s signature sports talk show. The program is renowned for featuring premier guests, most notably ESPN's Adam Rittenberg, Andy Katz and Scott Van Pelt, as well as numerous Wisconsin coaches and student-athletes. This semester, the tradition continues with WSUM Sports Director Kyle Deckelbaum, Badger Herald Sports Editor Mike Fiammetta, Sam Maxwell, and Nathan Palm. Tuesdays, 4-5 PM: Debate and Tackle

Four of the newest members of the WSUM Sports Department tackle topics and debate disputes every Tuesday from 4-5. Call them live at 608-265-9786.

Tuesdays, 5-6 PM: Cheddar Chatter
Alex Kowalsky, Brian Martin, Caitlyn McCrory, Marc Sieber
Cheddar Chatter returns for its third semester to do exactly as its name suggests: delve into the sports teams throughout America’s Dairyland and beyond. Put on your cheese head and call them live at 608-265-9786!

Wednesdays, 4-5 PM: Red Alert

Despite losing two extremely devoted cast members, the show must go on. Red Alert (somehow) returns for its sixth semester in a brand new timeslot: Wednesdays from 4-5. Join WSUM Sports Director Kyle Deckelbaum, former Daily Cardinal Sports Editor Nico Savidge… and Robb Valentyn…for a show that’s far from your typical sports talk show. Wednesdays, 5-6 PM: Three Guys and a Mic

In its fifth semester, Three Guys and a Mic remains one of WSUM Sports' most engaging shows. Join Sam Maxwell, Nathan Palm and Danny Henken as they debate the top headlines from both on and off campus. Thursdays, 5-6 PM: The 6th Quarter
Noah Jarosh, Justin Mertes-Mistretta, Max Sternberg, Sam Sussman
After the first four quarters at Camp Randall, it's the infamous “Fifth Quarter.” After the “Fifth Quarter,” it’s the “Sixth Quarter” on WSUM. Join Noah Jarosh, Justin Mertes-Mistretta, and the Daily Cardinal's Sam Sussman and Max Sternberg as they talk about Badger and professional sports.
